Summary
Greetings, Comrades!
This episode covers the events on the 7th to 8th of February in Syria, where American-led coalition forces, in a counterattack, while defending their base, basically annihilated a large number of Russian soldiers from the Private Warfare Company “Wagner”. Now, there already have been news about the “what” part, but I delve into the “why” and deeper reasons of the whole thing, on the Russian side. Both, why would people go and fight, who owns the “Wagner” and all the other, quite deeply philosophical stuff. Ugh. This is a hard one.
Enjoy!

| 1:34.3 | You see, in Syria there are these control zones near the Ephrodis River. |
| 1:40.3 | In one of these zones there were Kurdish democratic forces together with their American instructors. |
| 1:47.0 | And apparently, there were some Bashar Assad's forces supported by Russians, who decided that, hey, the Kurdish people and the Americans are sitting on an oil factory. So, they started messing up their forces because they had decided that, hey, in our zone, we don't really have any oil. |
