the new film that's coming to Hulu and I'm here with my says Alicia P so hi ladies.

Hi I'm so happy to be here. So excited to have you we have so much to get into but

Gia I know that you wanted to jump into some questions about the movie and then we

gonna dive deep later. I love it because one I we were just talking about how I

watched the trailer and I am now afraid to get a sew in because bad hair is a horror take on the experiences that we as black women go through when we want to change, straighten, get so ins to our hair.

And so it's such a cool take, but it is a very scary take

and maybe never wanna wear a wig,

even though I'm wearing one now.

But I gotta ask you, Ashley Ashley what drew you to this film?

Tell me about what you felt when you initially read the script. I can only imagine

probably a mind-blowing moment for you.

Yeah, I mean, so I've been a part of the film since the, like since Justin was writing the script.

So I was doing table reads for it.

Gosh, I don't know, maybe four years ago.

Justin at one point kind of did like a brainstorming session in Palm Springs to really keep beating out the film and

invited some writer friends of his and he invited me to kind of help him play around with the
