Hey welcome back to the Philcraft survival podcast. I'm your host Mike and today's co-host is Curtis.

We're super motivated. We're dig and deep. This is actually a good one. I don't know where I was

going to go with that other than talk about motivation and how it's sometimes unattainable.

Yeah you sometimes you just have to force yourself. You have to force yourself to be

tapped into the world because sometimes you just want to you know get away.

And so today I don't fucking even know what the hell's happened. Actually well we're recording

this podcast right now. We're live on Instagram. We'll post this later but it is 9-11 today so

obviously a solemn day in the country. I remember where I was on 9-11 and I think we've

talked about that before on some other podcast but I was a young non-commission officer going through

at the time what they called PLDC which stood for Primary Leadership Development Course

and I was actually in the chow hall that morning and we were just finishing breakfast in a cup of coffee

close to 9 a.m. 8.59 a.m when the towers were struck. So definitely

remember where I was the feeling in the room was pretty crazy. I was in there with a lot of other

young infantrymen and you know immediately we knew like hey this is serious this is not some

fluke thing where a plane just flew off course and hit a building so I think we understood from

the very get-go that soon we would be asked to go and deal with the bad guys that perpetrated

that atrocity which Mike and I throughout the last 18 years have had the opportunity to do that

and I consider that a privilege and wanted nothing more but to be able to avenge the deaths of
