Hi, I'm Renee Hunter Vasquez. Hi, I'm John Paul Vasquez. This week,

we're broadcasting live from a cabin in the woods discussing the 1987 horror comedy, Evil Dead 2.

This film was directed by Sam Ramey from a screenplay by Ramey and Scott Spieckle. Following the

disappointing reception of his previous film, Crime Wave, Rame and Company decided

to head back to their roots and pull the trigger on the long-gestating sequel to their

1981 classic. Evil Dead 2 takes on a more comedic tone when compared to its predecessor,

but more than maintains the quality of the original, with the legend himself Bruce Campbell

returning his Ash Williams to once again

fight the Deadites. Though the film didn't set the box office on fire, it would go on to achieve

cult status and is widely considered one of the greatest horror sequels of all time.

Well, I think we already know. It's so weird because I was trying to explain to, I think, Ari about things that like we watched as a kid

and how different things are.

Because they were kind of back and forth.
