We are talking about Arsenal's 3-1 defeat to West Ham in the EFL slash Carabao Cup.

I think it's fair to say that this game, this tournament in particular is one which I don't

know if people have mixed feelings about it, but certainly when you've got Newcastle

coming up with a weekend, there is a clamor to not risk your big players.

So the likes of Declan Rice, William Celeba, Becausacca, Gabrielle Martin Alli etc etc were

on the bench and I think everyone's kind of okay with that.

On the other hand though, it's not nice when you play poorly, when you concede bad goals,

defend badly and you end up going out of the cup to West Ham.

There was a little bit of a consolation at the end when Martin Odegard scored but I think

that if you can call it gloss, I don't know if you can call it gloss at all.

I think what it did was make the shit stain slightly less shitty or stainy or both however

you want to put that and I don't know that Mickal Arteta was too impressed.

The pictures during the rounds immediately afterwards where he was going over to acknowledge

the fans, he had a face like thunder on him and in his post game press conference, this

is the first question he was asked by our pal James Bench.
