Hey Pinkers and welcome to episode 75 of the Pink Bike podcast. I'm Mike Levy, and today's show should be a good one.

Mike Kazimer and I have both been reviewing mountain bikes and gear on Pinkbike for years now, and there have

been countless times when we've looked at each other and said, what the hell was this company

thinking? Sometimes it might be about a questionable spec choice or maybe a questionable design

decision, or maybe we're wondering why they even made the product in the first place.

Or maybe it's the ridiculous packaging, the marketing they did, or we're wondering why the heck

they signed so-and-so to ride their bikes anyway.

So sure, Kazim and I have zero engineering experience, background, and skills, and neither

of us have done any marketing, but we're not

going to let that stop us today. And I would argue that us lacking on those two fronts could give

us a much needed perspective that most brands don't have. I bet they probably don't want it either,

but I'm still trying to convince Kazimer to start our new consulting firm, Mike Bike.

I'm still working on the name, everybody.

Anyway, the point is, we've often joked about how some of these brands should really be asking

our advice before wasting money and resources on dumb things. So that's what today's podcast
