I am your host, Brad Rowland, coming to you live on a fine Sunday evening, a very, very late Sunday evening from parts unknown at this point.

I will be by myself today on the podcast.

It's probably a little bit shorter than normal. I'm traveling and the internet situation is not great here, not enough to really support a joint venture via Skype, which is not how we normally

record. So sort of a look behind the curtain there as to our recording process. But so you just get me today answering some questions, writing down the news, and hopefully

you guys won't hate the sign of my voice by the end of the podcast. It's happened once or twice

before in the history of the show. But we'll definitely be back next week with an episode with

someone else on it. So you're not subject to just me for two episodes in a row.

I get back late next week and we'll have a show post-trade deadlines, so a little bit of a preview

there. But obviously, the Braves, not great end to the weekend with back-to-back losses to the

Dodgers, 6 to 2 on Saturday, and then a 10-inning 5-4 loss on Sunday. If the Braves had won both of those

games, they would have an opportunity to go above 500, but never really in great shape on

Saturday. And of course, Sunday, Jim Johnson gives up the run to lose the game late in Los Angeles,

but still on the bright side here, going into LA against the team that was,
