And the sheer numbers are starting to have a real impact on the climbing areas that we cherish.

Black Diamond and the Access Fund recognize this, and they want you to recognize that it's up to us to work together to minimize the degradation of the once wild and free climbing experience.

They've come up with a thing called the Pact, a list of 10.

I don't want to call them rules because climbers don't like rules,

so we'll just call them guidelines.

It's all pretty basic stuff about how to act

when you're at the cliff.

Now before you look at this list,

you're probably going to think to yourself,

well, I'm a really responsible user. I don't cause any problems.

And yet, I think you'll find a few of them there that you probably broken, even in the last couple

weeks. I mean, what if you are the pain in the ass that everyone else is

rolling their eyes at? Would you know? Probably not. So you better go have a look at
