Trump addresses Congress and the tariffs are definitely on and definitely off and maybe, perhaps

could almost certainly are or aren't happening. Plus, is the Department of Education doomed?

session of Congress, a de facto state of the union address, even though it's not a state of the union

address, as we've discussed many, many times on this podcast. I'm not, I don't think any of us

are really fans of these speeches as speeches. You know, they're never thematic, not particularly

eloquent, and always too long, and a laundry list.

This was very long, the longest ever, was a laundry list.

I haven't gone back and kind of read it to diagram it out, but felt as I was listening,

you're very repetitive, kept on coming back to various things, a very Trump speech, but one that displayed

and projected strength, dominance, and that bated Democrats basically not to applaud anything

he said. At the beginning, he said, look, these people, they're not going to, no matter

how amazing things are, they're not going to applaud. Sure enough,

they don't applaud anything. They don't applaud the border being shut down, at least for the time

being. They didn't applaud or react to these stories that he highlighted from the balcony.
