Halloween 2. This film was directed by Rick Rosenthal off a screenplay by John Carpenter and

Deborah Hill. Following the massive success of the 1978 horror classic Halloween, Carpenter and Hill

pinned the sequel as a conclusion to the Michael Myers and Laurie Strode's story. After Carpenter

refused to reprise his role as director, he handpicked Rosenthal to do the honors. Although

the film incorporates more graphic violence to compete with its slasher contemporaries,
