Yasmin Motiwala. Thank you so much for coming in. Thank you so much for having me. You're our first

politician. I know. And like I am, I was saying this off the record before, but I am freaking out excited about this

because some of you may or may not know out there.

I try to keep it off the internet because I've been like, I get too upset about everything

that happens on the internet and the like the black hole of political arguments on the internet but i am a very political person in my uh personal life and i

basically follow politics like a crazy person um so yeah yeah i'm constantly talking about it and

uh so this is very exciting and thank you so much for coming on my My pleasure. So tell us a little bit about you and your campaign and yeah.

So I am originally from Chicago, Illinois.

Born to a Peruvian mother and a Pakistani father in 1978 and in a snowstorm came into this world.

And I have been a grassroots political organizer for the last 11 years, which is how I ended up getting super engaged in politics.

I did study political science in college, but that was at the beginning of the Bush years.

I didn't really see where I fit into the world of D.C. and politics.

It was the war in Iraq, the W. Bush, I should say.
