just and lasting peace. We had a meeting this week in Saudi Arabia between the U.S. and Russia,

one, that Ukraine was supposed to attend a little later on after the initial setting, but

it decided to protest its exclusion from that meeting and declined to participate.

So Ukraine, as well as Europe and America, recently were beholden to the notion that there should be no discussions about Ukraine's future without Ukraine participating in it.

That seems to be gone.

And it's only the latest concession to the Russian side.
