Hello, everybody. Welcome to Crystal Kyle and Friends. Today, we're going to be talking

to Alan Minsky and Harvey Kay, who wrote a book about a favorite president, FDR.

Yeah, and they also have a very constructive critique of progressives. So, they have

both the sort of like the actual critique and also some suggestions for how they could

do better in terms of persuading the American people and putting forward an economic agenda

that would actually benefit the American people too.

They did a video with the Gravel Institute and I think I'm going to have covered it on

my show where it's titled something like the greatest speech ever given.

Most radical speech. Yeah, most radical speech ever given by American president. And it's

the very famous economic bill of right speech, the new bill of right speech from FDR.

I mean, I guess you could say that or the military industrial complex speech from

Dwight Eisenhower, like the best or the most radical or, you know, free wave speech, you

know, like, but it's for people who haven't seen it and they probably have if they watch

your stuff and watch my stuff and watch our stuff, a lot of people probably have seen it.

But if you go back and watch that FDR speech, you're like, oh, this is how presidents used

to talk when they weren't totally owned by Lockheed Martin and Pfizer.

Yeah. And then you fast forward. I played a clip of Bill Clinton in his in his era where

he's like, no president can guarantee you a job. Like, think of how far they've fallen

from FDR literally saying, like, no, this is your, this is your right. It's a right.

Yeah. Literally a right. You have a right to a job. Yes. Indeed. Even I don't even know

Bernie would say that. Would Bernie say that? I don't know if he believes in a federal

job guarantee. Does he? He did. Yeah. Oh, we did. Yeah. He ran on federal job guarantee.
