Oh my gosh. We're back. We're back, Sister, and you stay.

Sister, Mary Grace, what a joy. We're in a new season. And not only that, but we're looking

at a whole new liturgical season too. Yeah, it's a whole new feel. Advent on ramp to Lent.

Yeah, it's kind of night and day. Yeah. And like, I don't know about you, but Lent, this is going to be an incredible time. Yeah. And I'm just so excited for those who are going to be journeying with us because we're going to be claiming the gifts of the desert. That's right. Lent with the Sisters of Life, the desert's rich. Yeah.

And Jesus has gone before us. He wants to meet us there. Yeah. And whoa. What do you think?

It's also daunting. Dunting. Dunting. So, so 98% of Australia is desert. And it's basically desert because

it's uninhabitable land. That means like you can't live there. So it's kind of like it's enticing, but it's also it's kind of a dangerous place. You can kind of. Wow. Yeah, it's mysterious. It seems foreign. But yeah, I mean, the desert. I don't know why Jesus chose that place. It's fascinating. It's fascinating to think about. Whoa. And that's actually, I haven't thought about the desert for the Australian. It's true. It's daunting. I know you think of the beaches, but 95% it's wild. Wow. Yeah. Well, and it is. Deserts are a dramatic place, right? Super hot in the daytime. And actually, temperatures drop at nighttime. Right. Yeah, weird little creatures, like scorpions and I don't know what else you guys get out there. Yeah, basically everything deadly. Ugh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, one would be a little daunted perhaps. It's like, it's fair. Like if you're sitting there being like, oh my gosh, Lent is here again.

And again, I think I probably feel two things in my heart.

It's like one, yes, that I think it's in every human heart, the desire to like better oneself, right?

Like I want to run freer in virtue.

I want to be able to overcome things that like drag me down, whether that's

interiorly or externally or I want to be able to say no to that eighth cookie. You know, like, I want

that strength. But I think also spiritually, you know, like there's a mystery to lent and there's a dare because actually you don't know what Jesus is going to do.

Yeah. We know through scriptures, which I can't wait, we're going to be unpacking each week.

Through scriptures we see, yeah, Jesus went there and he wants to bring life there to those scary places of the desert in our hearts,

in our lives.

So it's like, yeah, it's like you kind of want to run in and towards and also kind of like

pull back and say, whoa.
