Okay. Well, let's think, uh, the people that are very nice. Yeah. And those are our listeners and

have kind of asked for this one a few times. It's a pretty popular celebrity murder. Uh, and that

is the murder of SoulSinger Sam Cook. Okay. So, and it actually happened in Los Angeles too. So it's

two. It's double Hollywood. It's double Hollywood. Sam Cook was born in Clarks,

Del Mississippi. And he was one of eight children born to Reverend Charles and Annie Cook.

The family actually moved to Chicago in 1933. So I think Sam was born in 1931. So he's only a few

years old when they left Mississippi. But the Reverend had that typical like southern kind of fiery

preacher thing going. And that was a pretty big hit in Chicago. So he started attracting like

quite a following once they moved up to Chicago. And that was where Sam actually first started singing.

He sang with his family and his siblings and the dad kind of let it. The band was called the

Reverend Cook and his singing children. Oh, not very creative. But I guess kind of like that's

what it was. I mean, I feel like a lot of singers have gotten their start in the church. Right.

Sam kind of started off singing back up against like or behind his siblings. So I guess we're

the leads. But it soon became obvious to everyone who would see them perform that the kid in the

back was sort of like who's that guy? Yeah. Who's Sam? Who's Sam? A little fun fact. He eventually ended
