The sheer numbers are starting to have a real impact on the climbing areas that we cherish.

Black Diamond and the Access Fund recognize this,

and they want you to recognize that it's up to us

to work together to minimize the degradation

of the once wild and free climbing experience.

They've come up with a thing called the Pact,

a list of 10, shall we say,

Commandments?

That's never been tried before, right?

I don't want to call them rules,

because climbers don't like rules. So't want to call them rules because climbers don't like

rules so we'll just call them guidelines. It's all pretty basic stuff about how to

act when you're at the cliff and how not to rub land managers the wrong way and ruin it for everybody else.

Now before you look at this list you're probably going to think to yourself well

I'm a really responsible user I don't cause any problems and yet I think you'll find a few of them there that you've probably broken even in the last couple weeks

I know I did I mean what if you are the pain in the ass that everyone else is rolling their eyes at. Would you know?
