Joining us today is a very fine Midwest singer-songwriter

and I don't mean fine. I've seen damn he fine. Well. very fine I'm

I'm saying, damn he fine.

Well, you know, he's handsome chatted.

But his win-some voices delicately crafted folk pop

and his uneringly tasteful guitar playing have been charming audiences worldwide since his

emergence in the late 90s.

As we record this episode, the release of his 11th studio album, The Embers of Time, is just

a few short weeks away. We have been privy to an advance listen and can safely

say it's one of his strongest efforts to date. It's our great pleasure to welcome to the show

The Terrific Josh Rouse. Do you remember your first introduction to Josh's music Simon?

As a matter of fact I do Brian, a friend of mine called Nick Saunders was a huge fan and

while I was making an album with him back in 2006 he turned me on to 1972 that was a must listen for him.

And Nick is no slouch in the songwriting stakes himself is he?

Yeah he's a phenomenal singer song racer actually he's got an album called
