So, Afghanistan is a disaster. This is a disaster that the world is seeing unfold.

But for right now, as this situation escalates, and this is the first time I've ever

really done a two-part podcast on one issue in the same week, because it seems like things

are developing in different ways every single day.

And for a moment, and it was a very brief moment, it really did seem like the conservatives and

liberals were all aligned in how we felt about the disaster. It was very obviously a national

security failure. The images that are coming out are completely embarrassing to the United States.

It is one of the biggest disasters I have seen in my lifetime. Like I said, these images are shocking.

Okay, they really are. And it seemed like we were aligned in how we felt about the disaster.

And I knew that it wouldn't take too long for tribes to emerge.
