Look, I know we're all feeling stressed out right now, but don't worry.

Right? This is the Arsenal Vision Postmatch podcast. My name is Elliot Smith, you block me, and Twitter, Yankee Gunner. Hello, everybody. That's right. The players, they're surely not panicking or are they, because the guest that is going to lead off this podcast suggests that that may be part of the process. But that's okay because the guest who suggests the players may be panicking also won titles for the Arsenal. And that's because the guest is won Lee Dixon.

I am so excited to welcome Lee back. If you haven't listened to Lee Dixon on this podcast,

you should listen to the episode we did September of 2021. He spoke so articulately and

eloquently and passionately about the arsenal and the traditions

that matter.

And it was right at the time when this rebuild was sort of starting.

So it's wonderful to catch up with him now at a time when it looks like it may already be

culminating, albeit sooner than we expected.

Lee and I covered a lot of ground in this conversation. and he just speaks so freely and so beautifully about the club and about where we're at, and I think he's the perfect person to talk to because he won titles under a lot of different circumstances, including being a young team that hadn't done it before and had all the pressure on them. So you're going to hear about that and more. And one of the reasons Lee was willing to come on

is because he obviously loves and cares about the Arsenal Foundation, the work they're doing in Zattery. And, you know, when he heard about our fundraiser, he was really motivated to try to call attention to it any way he could. And coming on the podcast is a great way to do that. So I'll just quickly say that we're at almost 180,000 pounds. The goal was 100, then it was 150, now it's 200. I'm not going to move it again. I think we're going to get to that 200. I think we're going to get past that 200. But right now, there's a very, very generous individual, anonymous individual who has said he will match up to $20,000 for the next $20,000 that comes in. So if you've thought about giving, if you give right now, you're actually giving twice. And, you know, I want to thank also McKell Arteta, Martin Odegaard, Adu, who sent personalized messages to the podcast asking for us to give. If you haven't heard that, that's on previous episodes. program the club is doing. I'm going to tell you something. We should be so, so proud of our

club, of the people in our club, and of the work they are doing. They are making children's

lives better in ways that are not just sort of intangible, but tangible ways, breaking child marriages, getting kids out of child labor. I won't go on any further. I know, you know, you know, people want to hear about the football and you've heard about this all month, but it is something really important that we get to do as a community.
