Summary

Episode 66 focuses on how to develop your own background and history for your Warhammer 40k Army. We throw out some ideas for character development and give you our thoughts on the “Do’s and Dont’s” of lore creation in the Warhammer 40k Universe.

The topic of this episode, which is very subjective at best, will surely evoke some strong reactions as to what people think is and is not “cool” for background material. We certainly don’t think everyone will agree with us. One of the great things about the Warhammer 40k Universe however, is that it is so large that really anything can fit in it!

Additionally, we announce the winner (and runner-up) of the Custom Army Background Contest, and discuss theirs, and other entries!

A longer than usual hobby progress and games played segment is included at the start of the show.

0:24.1	And we are going to be talking about how to make your own background for your army within Warhammer 40K.
0:31.7	I guess it technically could be used for any type of game like this.
0:35.8	But really, we're focusing on 40K here.
0:37.9	Can't possibly be used for any game because we referenced Space Marines way too much.

0:44.5	A couple of things to announce just before we launch into the show.
0:48.3	The first is, I need to make a correction.

0:51.5	And I don't know if it was this show or if it was Imperial Voxcast.
0:55.7	I guessed it on Imperial Voxcast for their last episode where they were talking about the chaos space brain codex.
1:02.1	And, you know, we don't do codex overviews on this show, but they do.
1:05.8	So we did, you know, fairly glossed over the codex itself, like we weren't going in depth,
1:11.9	but we were talking about what we liked, what seemed like it had promised, that kind of stuff.
1:15.1	Yeah.
1:15.3	And at one point, I mentioned that demon princes can't be warlords in your army.
1:22.2	And I don't know where I pick that up, but I must, maybe I overheard it from somebody or something, but that certainly does not
