Today, we will be talking to Amy Valella, who is, she was one of the original Justice Democrats.

She lost her race.

She has a really powerful personal story that led her into politics because unfortunately

her daughter passed away pretty much as a direct result of us not having a universal

healthcare system and so you know I wanted to talk a little bit about that her life experience

what led her to this point, what made her channel what was like really intense, deep emotional

pain into something positive and by the way that was inspired by Nina Turner, she's told

that story before.

So now she's running again for office, honestly she's, I mean I was going to say I don't like

to play favorites but out of my playing favorite, she's one of my favorites, seriously

of all the candidates who were running.

So really looking forward to talking to her.

Before we get into that though, so there's the hearings going on right now for Katanjee

Brown Jackson.

She's replacing Stephen Breyer in the Supreme Court or hopefully she'll replace Stephen

Breyer in the Supreme Court and in this committee hearing to approve her, you have, you know

the Republicans are generally going on the offense and trying to pick a partner record and

trying to get sound bites for their next elections and the Democrats are all playing

defense and playing patty cakes and there's a lot of cringe stuff going on all over the

place.
