Didn't I tell you that the autopsy was a medical labyrinth?

We're hardly into it, and it may have

already started to fill that way to you. Or maybe I just know too much already. But I do know,

I'm in the labyrinth. So before we do any more crawling around in the weeds, I want to pause for a moment and talk a little bit

about the central questions and issues that surround the autopsy. There are a lot of them.

I've been talking around the edges of that for the last two episodes, giving generalities, mostly,

and only a couple of specifics. More storytelling so far. But I think it would be good

if we spend this episode discussing the inventory of the more controversial aspects of the

autopsy and its implications. Then in subsequent episodes, we can tell the rest of the story on what happened that night

and in the ensuing periods after two.

And we'll view the rest of the autopsy proceeding through the eyes of Seabird and O'Neill and others.

Don't worry.

This is like a lake with lots of fingers that reach out everywhere.

And in search of the truth, we'll go down a number of those fingers. Always mindful of how to get back to the main
