Before we begin with our show, I'd quickly like to recommend another show that I've really been

enjoying. It's called American hysteria, and it's a podcast that explores how fantastical thinking,

moral, panics, urban legends and conspiracy theories have shaped our culture. The show has

covered the topics ranging from phantom clowns to satanic cults to mind control. I'm actually

currently writing an Amelia Ghost episode for season 5 part 3, so I was especially interested

in an episode about haunted dolls that featured a story about an online market where you can

buy yourself a soul trapped in the body of a doll. There's also a whole episode on haunted

attractions that were short Luke Dougal would absolutely love. Host Chelsea Weber Smith

takes you down strange American wormholes presenting forgotten oddities of history and popular

culture, which as an Amelia listener we think will be right up your street. Sometimes horrifying,

sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartfelt, American hysteria goes in depth to examine how

Americans have constructed the realities we share and also the realities we don't.
