So Jim Garrity, it seemed yesterday afternoon

that Columbia was kind of optimistic that the protest was going to

peter out with his extremely judicious policy of not resorting to any more

arrests but instead saying that students who persisted in the

encampment would be suspended and handing out flyers explaining this in

great detail and making some concessions on divest

but not saying they were going to divest and the numbers did seem to

dwindle but there's a hardcore that's saying you know what we're
