in Bible scholarship to everyday people. That's what we really love to do. And in addition to that,

sort of it's related to that is we want to know how that scholarship gets passed down to the

practitioners, the pastors, the people who are guiding Christians in this walk with the Bible

on a day to day and week to week basis. So today we have Kevin Macons, who's the founding pastor of

Eucharist Church in Ontario, Canada. And one thing I really appreciated about this conversation was

when I stopped being a pastor, one of the things that I appreciated most was not having to figure out

how to be in this liminal space as an individual saying, I'm okay with other people believing whatever

they want to believe. I can be non-judgmental and non-anxious and engage people in conversation,

whether they're atheists, agnostic, Buddhist, Hindu, conservative Christian, liberal Christian.

It really doesn't matter, the label to me. But that's very different than being tasked as a pastor
