Summary
TOPIC: The Surprising Problems of "Doing What You Love"
Merlin has some follow up on Agency: be in control of what you give away and why you charge what you charge, and Dan is interested in what happens when you stop loving what you love when you do it as a job.
There are no guarantees, so don't mistake the Federalist Papers for Constitutional Law, and if you miss the signs you shouldn't be sailing, you'll just end up vomiting in your bucket hat.
You're not going suddenly arrive and do what you love. You get there through course correction: look back at all the ugly birdhouses and look ahead for the next step toward building a home.

| 0:00.0 | Hey, Dan. How's it going? Hey, Merlin. How are you doing this week? |
| 0:04.1 | Well, you know, thanks for coming by. You know what? Nice to see you. Always looking good, |
| 0:09.2 | looking very suave. I've got, you know, I signed up for that shaving thing, |
| 0:15.3 | where they send your razors every month. You've seen this in a shaving now. I haven't |
| 0:19.8 | seen a new shaving thing. You can sign up for it and they send your razors every |
| 0:22.4 | month. A shaving thing. It's a shaving thing because they come and shave you too. |
| 0:26.0 | I might as well do that as well. Just bend me over anything they can find and just laugh. |
| 0:30.8 | But you don't even shave. You're always unshaven. See, this is the problem. This is why I |
| 0:34.8 | joined the shaving thing. And now they send me razors every month. The thing is they're a little behind |
| 0:39.2 | because the shaving thing got popular, so it's in May. But I've stopped even shaving now. |
| 0:42.9 | Now, what I do is I take my little Norelko Dealy and I just, I do this Don Johnson thing. |
| 0:47.1 | Is that how you pronounce that? Is that racist? And I just get it as short as I can. I put it on one. |
| 0:51.2 | Yeah. And then I don't have to shave as much. It doesn't hurt my daughter. |
| 0:54.7 | It's like, it's like the kind of, I'm like the kind of sandpaper you would use on a banister, |
| 0:59.2 | like not a nice banister. Still, I mean, I don't see how it doesn't hurt her. |
| 1:05.2 | You know what, it might hurt her more. I should think, no, I used to go on a pier. |
| 1:09.1 | Oh, it's massive right now. This is the best face. There's a cover. |
| 1:13.2 | 100%. Really? You just have to cut eye holes every morning. |
| 1:16.7 | Yeah, I just shave a little eye hole out so I can see. |
| 1:20.9 | What do you mean what percentage? I don't know. How much? |
| 1:24.4 | What, what percentage? How do you know where to start? Do you just eat for the eye hole? |
| 1:28.2 | I was going to say, don't she isn't it hard because you can't see where to go? |
