The gunship denied the first two requests and they were like, dude, you guys have to figure out how to move back.

The first volley of rounds took out the machine gun or that was, well, at least injured him.

I could hear. He stopped firing and I could hear him yelling, got up and walked to the helicopter.

I told him, kind of funny shit you think about, but I was like, dude, grab my arm and grab my helmet.

I remember walking to the helo and like, I was hunched over because I was bleeding so badly.

And I just, to this day, I can still kind of see this visual of all this blood just pouring out of my face.

I started to let go and I just remember like this darkness and just drifting off.

But right about that moment, I felt this tug on my left side and I kind of look up and this nurse is standing there and yells out, he's still got a bomb on him.
