This week, we're broadcasting live from the mess hall of the Nostromo discussing the 1979 science fiction horror classic Alien.

This film was directed by Ridley Scott and written by Dan O'Bannon with a story credit

given to O'Bannon and Ronald Chuset.

Combining elements of science fiction and horror, Alien possesses

excellent tone and pacing as well as out-of-this-this-world creature and production design.

The film also boasts a fantastic cast, including Sigourney Weaver in the iconic role of Ellen Ripley.

Though it initially received mixed reviews from critics, Alien would prove to be a box office

success that would go on to

spawn a multimedia franchise and is now widely regarded as one of the greatest horror films of all

time. This film was suggested to us by Friends of the Show, Chris Antaveras, Mariah Luna,

Megan Martinez, George Roses, and Kimberly Bass. This is by far our most requested film ever, and we want to thank all of them for this
