Marianne's guest this week is once again Aisha Akhtar, who will be talking about the organization she is heading up, the Center for Contemporary Sciences,

and about the progress happening, both in the current day as well as the progress projected for the future,

regarding getting animals out of laboratories. Just as in the food industry, the possibilities are

shifting for animals and labs because of enormous scientific

developments. And as Isha and Marianne will discuss, we could be poised for real lasting change.

Yeah, this is an area in which it's not something we cover all the time and so much change is

happening. And, you know, it's not even that it's happening yet,

though there are things happening already, but the possibilities are so enormous. I'm excited about it.
