Well, what a Wimbledon that was.

A first British men singles finalist in 74 years,

so nearly a winner for the host nation,

but ultimately, another grand slam title for Roger Federer.

His 17th and he's the number one player in the world yet again.

We reviewed the tournament and taught to Pat Cash,

25 years on from his win, right here on the tennis podcast.

So we sit here on the roof of the broadcast centre here at Wimbledon.

No more than an hour and a half after the final of the men's singles here at Wimbledon,

one of the most extraordinary finals we've seen in many years.

Perhaps not on the dramatic level of Raffa and the Dahl against Roger Federer four years ago,

but it was approaching that sort of level,

the final that Andy Murray put up against Roger Federer,

leading by a set to love.

He was pushing him in the second set.

I think Murray was playing very close to his very best tennis.

And Federer found a level of tennis that I don't think I've ever seen before.

I mean, I was court sides in the commentary box for BBC Radio 5 Live.

I was doing all those sort of roving interviews,

but I was able to sit there for the first three and a half sets

and just watch them court level, Catherine.
