X-Men's Season 2, episode six, Phoenix, part two.

Just over 10,000 years ago, a scientist who is part of an incredibly advanced society

was able to harness and capture a neutron galaxy.

He placed it into what would become known as the Macron crystal.

But he soon discovered that should the antimatter

that made up this neutron galaxy ever be released, ever come into contact with normal matter,

it would destroy our universe and create a new one in its place. He tried to tell his people,

they didn't listen. War mongers among their military saw in such a thing the potential for a dreadful weapon of unlimited power.

So he ran, took a ship to another galaxy entirely, far away from his own, and hid it here on Earth.

And to make sure that no corrupt being would ever find it,

he struck a deal with a cosmic entity that his people had worshipped like a god.

An entity called Phoenix.

Me. Both I and the scientist agreed that should I ever learn of one who sought the crystal, knew where to find it,

that I would take a mortal host capable of harnessing my power and protect it.

Well, great job so far.

Jean, you keep referring to the phoenix as if... As if you are it.
