You're having me. We're so grateful that you've taken the time to speak with us. You've actually

been guiding the content of the show for the last month, as the stories we covered were all from

your late 80s anthology fine-frites. Stories that scared me, which, as promised, made us both

wet our pants and actually made us wet each other's pants. So extremely effective.

And this month, we're covering a couple of tales from the folio book of horror stories,

which is a beautiful book illustrated by Corey Brickley that you've edited and is available now

from the folio society, and we'll link out to that in the show notes. Yeah, we're doing Brenda and

the boss by Shirley Jackson from that book, both their incredible stories. And we've got a ton of

questions, but I'm going to go ahead and jump in on something specific, having just read this

stuff. We've been doing this show for 13 years this month, starting with Lovecraft's fiction,

and then reading through the work of his influences and those he influenced, as well as a number

of tangentially related stories in the horror field. And after 600 or so of these, one begins to

feel like, I've seen all the ways into a horror story. 98% are inherited mansions, but two stories
