On this episode of Neutral, I really want to deal with what I think is an extraordinary

threat to the whole fabric of the American system.

This was triggered in my mind as much as anything by the fact that on Monday, August 14th,

a grand jury in Georgia indicted former President Donald Trump and 18 allies on state charges

that stemmed from his effort to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

The 41 count indictment was unsealed on Monday and is the fourth criminal case that Trump

is facing.

He now faces a total of 91 charges in four criminal cases and four different jurisdictions

to federal and two state.

Now I think in part it all came together for me because I spent two hours Monday evening

with Sean Hannity waiting for the grand jury to report.

And I'm now convinced that this was all rushed and looked stunningly stupid because on

Friday, the attorney general had announced that, vice, the US attorney in Delaware was

now going to be a special investigator, whereas up until then he said he didn't need to

be because he had all the power that he needed.

But now he had to do this.

It was clearly a PR move to try to indicate they're being serious about Hunter Biden.

Which remember, this is the same vice who allowed the statute of limitations to drop on

the most serious tax problems.

This is the same vice who agreed to a plea bargain so stupid that the federal judge threw

it out.

And this is the same vice who has now been sitting on the Hunter Biden problem for several
