On this episode of Neutral, I wanted to do an episode devoted to Chairman Comers' investigation

of the Bidens and Hunter Bidens' recent court hearing, which I have to say was one of

the wilder things I've seen in a while, and then what we've learned from it.

So I'm really pleased to welcome my guest, Mike Howe.

He is the Director for the Oversight Project at the Heritage Foundation.

So I'm curious about your own background.

I mean, you have an interesting experience in security.

So tell us about what you've already done in the area of security.

Absolutely.

So I'm an oversight attorney by training.

I started out working for Senator Ron Johnson over on the Homeland Security

Governmental Affairs Committee on the Senate.

And then when Chairman Chaffetz took over for Chairman Issa in about 2014,

I went over there with him.

And we ran a lot of investigations into the Obama administration,

particularly of the U.S. Secret Service, which was getting into a host of problems

in those days, high profile security incidents and lapses over and over again,

a lot of politicization of the Obama administration's kind of investigative apparatus.

We looked into Guantanamo Bay and their release of prisoners there.
