I was going to start this week's episode by telling you all about the travel that I have been engaged in over the last month and begging your forgiveness for not having done a podcast.

Though I do have a good excuse, I have been pretty much non-stop on the road.

But we don't have time because this week's episode is a pop-up episode. None of the usual shenanigans,

no ritualistic murder of Luther Abel at the beginning, no agonizing George Martin style

over the production. Instead, a good old-fashioned throw-down argument provoked by recent events. Those events being

the debate that Noah Rothman, Michael Brendan Dowardy, and I had on the most recent episode

of the editors, which was published two days ago, and that was curtailed for time.

The editors is more, what's the word, organized, planned, regimented than this podcast,

and we simply ran out of time in the second block.

And so just when the boxing gloves were coming off, the debate was shut down.

So I thought, having read through some of the responses on Twitter, that effectively said,

I was watching that, that we could continue it on this podcast on which there is no effective

time limit.

So today, that is exactly what we are going to do.

I am hosting Michael Brandon Doughty and Noah,

and we're going to debate Ukraine funding.

In fact, the Ukraine war more generally, as we did on the editors.
