My name is Jen Hewitt, and I am a textile artist,

surface designer, teacher, and printmaker,

and I'm based in beautiful San Francisco, California.

We have been totally captivated by your recent book

and we're so excited to share your knowledge and passion on the show today, but the first thing we always

ask our listeners is about their sewing journey. So can you tell us a little bit about how and when you

learn to sew? Yes, so I think I first learned how to sew when I was

I was maybe 10 years old and going to a summer camp

through Girls Club.

And I spent a lot of time sewing on a sewing machine.
