but also does a mightily impressive line in composing songs for TV, film, and theatre.

We're delighted to welcome Fountain's Adam Schlesinger to the show.

As long time Fountain's admirers, we've been angling to get Adam on the podcast for a while

so it's great to be able to count him amongst our ever-growing collection of songwriterly scalps.

We hope you'll forgive that rather macabre image dear listeners.

Yeah please don't take that literally or worry about the fact that we both record this

podcast wearing night vision goggles. As we touched on a moment ago there are several

strings to Adam Slesinger's bow.

As well as his ongoing commitments with Fountain's of Wayne and his TV and film work, he's also

much in demand as a writer and producer for other

artists as well as being a longtime member of the band Ivy and occasional rock

supergroup tinted windows as well. Just before we take up a chunk of his

valuable time we'd like to give you a bit of background info on our guest.

He was born in 1967 and raised in Monck Claire, New Jersey.

He began taking piano lessons when he was five and also became a Beatles

obsessive at a very early age having been gifted their records by a

relative and apparently he believed they were the only man that existed until he
