Summary
Oftentimes, when I'm in my coaching groups, I hear time and time again that clients are still clutching onto their Plan B, their backup plan, their safety net in case they fail.
Well, in today's video, I'm preaching something different.
This video is urging the entrepreneurs who have a safety net to tear it down, and adopt the feeling of having nowhere else to turn, nothing to fall back on, and completely all in on the hopes and dreams for their business.
That perceived desperation, that sense of urgency, might actually be one of the best things that can happen to you.

| 0:00.0 | Well, hey, friends, this is Jennifer. And this is the Jennifer Allwood Show, the podcast for women who want to find freedom in both their life and in their business. |
| 0:07.7 | I own a multi-seven figure a year coaching business. I'm also a certified life coach. So I have the honor of helping thousands of women every single month, make money in the online space and help them to get unstuck from whatever is holding the back, all without sacrificing their |
| 0:21.3 | faith or their family. In this show, you're going to get the very best life and business advice, |
| 0:26.0 | always with a healthy dose of Jesus. So buckle in, my friend. I'm so excited that you are here. |
| 0:33.8 | Hello there, friends. Welcome to the podcast. Excited today that I am in a really cute jumper. If you were watching me on YouTube, it's so cute. Let me even show you. Can I just stand up and I'll show you? Okay, so it's Cheetah on the top and it's just black pants on the bottom there. I did a little, I do a little what I'm wearing today, outfit of the day for you, which is funny because I don't |
| 0:54.9 | think I've ever actually done that on my podcast. But I'm excited because I've only worn this |
| 0:59.4 | jumper once. And it was 2019. Yes, so it is six years old. It's the last time I fit into it. |
| 1:08.1 | And I was speaking on stage with Christy Wright and a couple |
| 1:12.4 | other business women at Business Boutique, which was Dave Ramsey's like female business meetup. |
| 1:18.7 | So anyhow, I just want you to know, I'm excited that the romper fits. And that felt worthy |
| 1:25.2 | of just showing you on YouTube. So there's that. All right, friends, I'm excited to be with you today. I'm going to be talking about desperation, which is the opposite of how I feel in this outfit. But listen, the reason I'm bringing this up is this. On occasion, I will have business owners, women who come into my coaching, who are trying to grow their |
| 1:46.5 | business. And they're like, this has to work. This has to work. And I can tell you that, I often see |
| 1:55.4 | that girl make decisions, hold her own feet to the fire, and make progress in a way that women who have a |
| 2:05.4 | backup plan just don't. I think sometimes the women that come to me, they see like, or they feel |
| 2:12.6 | as though them feeling like desperate to make this business really grow, they think that that's a bad thing. |
| 2:19.0 | When I would like to actually say, you know, that while culture may really encourage us to always |
| 2:24.5 | have a backup plan, you know, they encourage prenuptial agreements. They encourage, you know, |
| 2:31.1 | people to keep separate like bank accounts and things like that, |
| 2:34.5 | to always kind of have like a plan B. And I think there are so many reasons why not having a plan |
| 2:41.8 | B is like the best place sometimes that you can be in a business. And so I did a little posty post |
| 2:48.9 | on Instagram and Facebook. And not surprising, I didn't have a ton of people |
| 2:54.2 | like, you know, commenting on it. And that's fine. Sometimes, especially when I know I'm kind of going |
