On this episode of Newt world, I'm going to offer you a dramatically different view of

what happened in federal court yesterday in Miami when President Trump was arraigned.

I think this is part of a gigantic picture, a picture that includes the legal efforts

of the Democrats in New York City, the efforts of the Democrats in Atlanta, the effort of

the Justice Department of the District of Columbia. There is an all-out assault to destroy

Donald Trump. It's an assault based on a very simple fact. Trump is the greatest threat

to the current system of power that we have seen since Ronald Reagan, and unlike Reagan,

he's prepared to take them head on.

Reagan was brilliant. I was honored to serve with him. He certainly shaped my feelings and

my experiences and my understanding. But Reagan was so focused on defeating the Soviet

Union that he didn't really focus as much as he should have on the problems here at

home because, frankly, there's a limit to how much anyone person can do. The result

was, as Reagan himself said in his farewell address in January of 1989, that the underlying

cancers, which had first really shown up in the 1960s, people tend to forget that we

had 2,500 bombings in the 1960s. We had a campaign to kill policemen in the 1960s. We had

a very serious effort to undermine and weaken the United States. It gradually receded, and

yet, even in 1972, they were white in describing the McGovern campaign, so the decreases from

McGovern was that the liberal ideology had been transmuted into a liberal theology, and

that liberal theology has metastasized since then. And the results been a view on the

left that is stunningly against the America that historically grew up, provided freedom,

and gave us a dramatically better country with greater wealth, greater opportunity for
