Hey, everybody, welcome to another edition of Breaking Bread with Tom Papa.

I'm Tom Papa. Thank you for joining us at the table. Once again I'm here in the booth

here at our lovely studio because I'll be welcoming a very talented bagel

entrepreneur. Yes, the great Nick Schreiber who is co-founders with JD Rockio of Bell's bagels here in Los Angeles.

As a New Yorker, to find a good bagel in LA has been a quest of mine for a very long time.

And through our good friends at Bub and Grandma's,

who we had on Andy Caden, who's this great baker,

found my way to Bell's bagels, it was like it was like running into an old friend it was like wow this is this is as good as any bagel I've ever had on the East Coast and I know I say that with hesitancy because I don't want people

to punch me in the face.

A New York Times article came out recently talking about how some of the best bagels in the country

are in California and people lost their minds. They even said in the headline,

sorry New York. I wouldn't go that far. I wouldn't I don't think you can claim that New York's bagels are

failing in any way there's amazing shops there I mean let's be real

but as far as Los Angeles finally creating stuff that is as good and makes a
