Hello, dear one, and welcome to episode 57 of the next best picture podcast.

I am your host, Matt Neglia. And today we have Mr. Michael Schwartz. Hello, everyone. And Mr. Will Mavity. Hi, guys. Gentlemen, it has been a very productive

week. The box office this weekend saw the release of a lot of new movies. He had Kingsman, we had Victorian Abdul, we had stronger.

I had the chance to see Battle of the Sexes, which opened up in limited release.

So did I.

Oh yeah, oh yeah?

And?

Yeah, I liked it.

I mean, I didn't think it was extraordinary, but it's like a good solid 7.5, well-acted. I like, the colors are great. You know, that, you have the Lala Land team of costume designers, production designers, and Linus Sandgren coming back together for this one, and it's beautiful to look at. You know, it's not what I would call subtle. I guess it's not intended to me, but it, you know, it's a pretty broad film. It was the 70s. Yeah, it's got a timely message. Um, it tonally, it doesn't always work and it goes on a little bit long, but yeah, I liked it. I think it'll be a good crowd pleaser. Well, that's really good. I don't want to get into my own thoughts on the movie right here, right now, because that will be our made review this weekend, as well as a little interview that we have planned up with somebody associated with the film. So stay tuned for that one, everyone. I'll tell you what I did get to see, though.

I did get to see the Florida Project this week.

I want to see that so badly.

It was my first NYFF screening.

And I'll be honest, I didn't like it as much as a lot of other people did, but I still liked it.
