When God promises to be a father to the fatherless, he means it, and that he brings you what you need in different ways, through different people, through men in my community group who've poured into my son, through my dad, who my son just absolutely adores, but then also being able to teach my son that God promises to be your father.

Like, yes, it is hard. It's hard that you don't have a dad in the home, and it's okay that you want that.

You know, that doesn't make me feel bad for you to say

hey I want a dad because that's normal and that makes a lot of sense but I've been able to learn myself

that when God promises to be a father to the fatherless he means it and also my son is learning that

as well the hardest thing is just sort of bearing the parenting weight alone again Again, I can ask my parents for advice.

What would you do? But in the end, when it comes down to it and the decisions made, it's all mine.
