Cinco de Mayo. A happy Cinco de Mayo to you and yours. I love Cinco de Mayo.

For many reasons. First of all, Cinco de Mayo is a great song by a band called War.

Not sure if war stands for wins above replacement, but anyway, war Cinco de Mayo 1980 song was

before my time, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the song. Here's a snippet for your enjoyment.

Cinco de Mayo. Yeah, I mean, how do you not move when you hear that song?

Of course, Cinco de Mayo is an unofficial start to the weather, getting warmer,

people hanging out outside, partying outside, surveys us, mojitos, whatever you like.

But the best part about Cinco de Mayo, and this always cracks me up.

And those of you who are Mexican or at least in tune with Mexican culture, certainly know this.

But Cinco de Mayo has nothing to do with the United States. And yet, and yet Cinco de Mayo

is a much bigger deal in the United States than Cinco de Mayo is in Mexico. Cinco de Mayo,

in case you don't know, is an honor of the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire
