We are living in a different sort of reality where it's becoming increasingly clear

that you can do literally anything on the world and it doesn't matter. Yeah, I mean, I don't want to

fall into the trap because a lot of people in the UK are always just like, well, at least we're not

the US, but that's not really good enough. I mean, if you look at what's happened to Prince Andrew, for instance, it's entirely kind of meaningless. I mean, he's just lost a title, and he's living in a different palace now, not the official royal palace, just a different one. And then Peter Mandelson's had to resign, but it's like, resignation is the very least of the sort of things that should be happening to him, you know?

That's fair, obviously.

But I do agree that, yeah.

It's a resignation.

I mean, this is the bar, obviously, is so horribly low, but as an American, to see a ripple of an effect in a resignation.

When our president is fully in the files and responds by screaming

at a reporter who dares to ask him a question, I have to reflect in the utility of me

saying this.

But it feels as though it could not be more obvious that any kind of accountability that exists in our society is gone.

It should have been obvious if it weren't already from the impunity with which the genocide in Gaza was litigated.
