most corrupt politician in America. Paxton's political career has survived a criminal indictment,

FBI probe, and even impeachment by the Republican-led Texas Statehouse. Paxon maintains he has

Paxton has a real staying power in Texas politics. He's won statewide office three times,

and he won last, his last race, not last night, but the last race for Attorney General on 22,

by almost 10 points. This is even as mounting scandals engulfed his candidacy. Donald Trump, knowing all of this, endorsed Paxton in the days leading up to last night's runoff.

They have a political base willing to look the other way.

But as Americans struggle to fill up the tank and put food on the table,

the level of apparent corruption in our politics, it might feel different to voters this November.
