According to the most recent Gallup poll on October 2021, trust in mass media is at its

second lowest point ever, to just 36 percent of Americans say they have either a great deal

or even a fair amount of trust in the media.

And so unsurprisingly, there's a split on party lines.

68 percent of Democrats trust the media, while only 11 percent of Republicans do.
