This does seem, going back to Venezuela, to have been a longer game.

You've mentioned Maria Machado a few times.

I want to get some clarity on how she's being positioned to become the president of Venezuela

and what her relationship is, you know, the why of it all and why she's been chosen.

She's also the individual who was what nominated for

a Nobel Peace Prize and then turned around and complimented Trump immediately thereafter in the

next breath. Help me understand what the relationship is between her, the U.S. establishment

and how she's positioned in Venezuela. Yes. So I think how she's positioned in Venezuela is the

most important point because she's saying,

I'm the true leader and blah, blah, blah.

I think Trump just, you know, he said the quiet part out loud when they said, should you

become the president?

And he said she doesn't have the respect or the support in the country to actually rule the

country.

And I think that's 100% true.

Maria Karina Machado comes from a very particular portion of the Venezuelan opposition. The Venezuelan opposition

was like semi-united up until about 2013, and then it split into a lot of different directions.

And she is part of a wing that there are other people, names people, maybe heard Leopoldo Lopez,

other people like that, who have essentially decided over the past number of years that they

actually cannot win a majority of the population to support their

political vision, which is the pre-Chavez political vision of the elites. And she comes from a very
