Summary

Austin Walker decided to return to Stellaris this weekend, hoping to lead his bird society to the heights of galactic civilization, but when a space anomaly shows up, things go bad, leading to Danielle Riendeau and Patrick Klepek to nod, sigh, and wonder how things might have been different. Elsewhere, I talk about my fear of sea spiders in the underwater horror game Narcosis, and we return to The Question Bucket to ruminate on why some games have a backlash after they're released.

They're like hey, just don't fuck around with that and will be cool and other ones like hey if you do this

14:00.9

I'll be really happy and so they were really happy with me because I did a bunch of things that they liked then like I know a couple decades into this game

14:07.7

The patriotic vanguard started and that already sounds bad

14:11.6

Oh, no, but they weren't that bad at first because they were they were like this militant group

14:15.0

They were like hawks, but they didn't necessarily want me to go start wars

14:18.4

They just really didn't they believed that like being

14:22.0

Solitary was strong like we should stay inside of our own culture and at that point we were because we was the early game and we just hadn't found that many other cultures

14:30.1

And they wanted to like keep war on the table. They wanted me to be like oh, yeah

14:35.0

There was a situation which I would declare war a war of aggression

14:38.1
