And basically I was in a mindset of I just want to destroy myself and everything around me.

Because I was in such pain. You know, I just continued to spiral down, man. And at 16, I ended up committing a very serious crime, the most serious crimes. And I took the life of a 19-year-old named Michael Mortensen. I was tried as an adult

at the age of 16 and given a life sentence. I was given a 19-a-life sentence and I ended up spending

a total of 21 years of incarceration on that sentence, eight of which I spent in solitary confinement in Pelican Bay.
