When I get together with my college roommates, there's one story we can't help but tell,

retell, and laugh over every time we see each other. One night during a beach trip,

my friend Stephanie took the stairs instead of the elevator because she had a pretty

extreme elevator phobia. We knew this about her. We lived in a dorm where she always took

the stairs, but for this night, for whatever reason, I was kind of harping on and on about it.

I started telling the friends who had stayed with me how I couldn't think of anything I was

truly scared of, except I was dead wrong because I'm actually just scared of everything.

To be funny, Stephanie and the other gals had raced up the stairs and were waiting at the elevator

on our floor, and they really gently said, boom, when the doors opened.
